Acceptance of Terms
By using the Authentify ("Service") — including scanning a QR code, messaging our WhatsApp number, or accessing any part of our platform — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.
Description of Service
The Authentify is operated by Diggit and provides the following services to consumers and brand owners:
- QR code scanning to verify product authenticity
- Real-time verification results delivered via WhatsApp
- Customer loyalty points for genuine product scans
- Location-based bonus points (voluntary GPS sharing)
- Points redemption for discount coupons
- Counterfeit product reporting to assist brand investigations
- Brand owner dashboard for scan analytics and code management
WhatsApp Communication
By messaging our WhatsApp Business number, you initiate a conversation with our automated verification system. You consent to receive automated messages in response to your actions, including:
- Product verification results (genuine or counterfeit warning)
- Loyalty points updates and balance notifications
- Redemption coupon codes upon request
- Profile completion prompts (location and email requests)
Important: Our WhatsApp bot only responds to user-initiated interactions. We do not send unsolicited messages, spam, or promotional content without your explicit request.
User Responsibilities
As a user of our Service, you agree to:
- Use the Service solely for legitimate product verification purposes
- Not attempt to manipulate, spoof, or bypass the QR code verification system
- Not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to abuse the API or earn points fraudulently
- Not copy, duplicate, or reproduce QR codes for fraudulent purposes
- Provide accurate information when submitting counterfeit reports
- Not submit false or malicious reports against genuine products
Loyalty Points Program
The loyalty points program is operated at the discretion of individual brand owners (tenants). Points are awarded for genuine product scans, location sharing, email registration, and profile completion. The following conditions apply:
- Points have no monetary value outside the redemption program
- Redemption thresholds, coupon values, and eligibility are set by each brand owner
- Points earned through fraudulent activity will be forfeited and the account may be suspended
- Diggit reserves the right to adjust, suspend, or terminate the loyalty program at any time
- Unused points do not expire unless the associated brand suspends its program
Counterfeit Reporting
Users may voluntarily submit reports for suspected counterfeit products. By submitting a report, you confirm that your submission is made in good faith. Diggit and brand owners may use reported information for investigation purposes.
⚠️ False or malicious reports may result in account suspension.
Accuracy of Verification
While we strive for maximum accuracy:
- Verification results are based on data provided by brand owners
- A "genuine" result confirms the QR code is registered in our system — it does not guarantee product quality or safety
- A "scan already used" result indicates the code was previously verified and may indicate a counterfeit — further investigation is recommended
- Diggit is not liable for any decisions made solely based on verification results
Intellectual Property
All content, software, QR code systems, algorithms, and features of the Service are owned by Diggit and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or distribute any part of the Service without explicit written permission from Diggit.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Diggit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including reliance on verification results, points program changes, or service interruptions.
Service Availability
We aim to provide continuous and reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Scheduled maintenance, infrastructure updates, or circumstances beyond our control (including Meta/WhatsApp platform outages) may temporarily affect Service availability.
Account Suspension & Termination
Diggit reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate access to the Service for users who:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Engage in fraudulent point accumulation or code manipulation
- Abuse the counterfeit reporting feature
- Attempt to exploit or reverse-engineer the verification system
Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from the use of this Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the UAE.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via WhatsApp or through the application. Continued use of the Service after changes have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
